Our task was to launch Hi4T in Australia and New Zealand, which is GWM's innovative proprietary hybrid 4x4 technology. It lives across the range in many different ways, delivering levels of performance, efficiency, power, and off-road capability never before seen in plug-in hybrids. Rather than explain the tech, the goal for the Hi4T platform is to entertain by demonstrating it.

As major sponsors of the television rights for the 2026 Winter Olympics, we had plenty of placements up for grabs during the Games. So we decided to show off the car’s performance in a way that all viewers would understand, creating a world’s-first Uphill Slalom by driving a GWM Tank 500 up a double black diamond route in New Zealand's alpine region.
